New Employees
Welcome to the Manhattan-Ogden School District! We are thrilled to have you as part of our team. We believe that every new employee contributes to our commitment to providing excellent education to our students and school community, and we look forward to working together toward that goal.
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will go through a 45-day introductory period. This period allows both you and the district to ensure a good fit, with ample time to learn about your role and responsibilities. At the conclusion of this period, your supervisor will conduct an evaluation to recommend your transition to continued employment.
During the introductory period, enrolled benefits will begin the first of the month following the 45-day period. Your leave will begin to accrue upon hire; however, cannot be utilized until after the introductory period ends and you are recommended for continued employment
We are excited to support your growth and success in our district and look forward to working together. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to HR or your supervisor.
Once again, welcome aboard!

Before starting employment (including substitute teaching), all new hires are required to complete an online application and attend Orientation. Human Resources will conduct New Employee Orientation on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. Orientation is by appointment only. We will begin promptly in the Human Resource Department at Lincoln Education Center, 901 Poyntz Avenue, Room 102. During the orientation you will be provided with information and an opportunity to ask questions. Paperwork will be completed and collected and/or online submissions confirmed. If all paperwork including appropriate ID’s and the Health certificate/TB screening are complete you will be photographed for an identification badge. Please allow at least an hour to an hour and a half to complete this entire process.
When you are contacted about attending orientation or return your Letter of Intent (Licensed/Certified hires) you will be emailed a checklist of tasks to complete. These tasks should be completed prior to orientation if possible. All forms are also available in paper format in the Human Resources Office. Completing the tasks prior to orientation will expedite the hiring process and get you on the job sooner. Certified/Licensed hires for a new school year, should complete all tasks prior to new teacher orientation.
All new hires will be asked to bring acceptable document(s) for identification and work authorization.
