Children's cognitive development begins the moment they are born. There is a strong connection between the development a child undergoes early in life and the level of success the child will experience later in life. When young children are provided rich learning environments they are able to acquire the social/emotional, communicative, physical, cognitive, and adaptive skills they need to be successful. USD 383 values the impact that early learning has on setting the stage for success later in life. For this reason, we work together as a district and with our community to provide home based services to families who are expecting a child, or who have children who are five or younger. Our goal is to ensure all families have the connections and resources they need to support their early learners in the home environment.
