Current USD 383 elementary and middle school attendance zones have been in place since the Fall of 2012. With the addition of Oliver Brown Elementary School, which is set to open in the Fall of 2021, the district has a need to rework attendance boundaries for all elementary schools and middle schools in the district. The relocation of sixth grade students from elementary schools to middle schools will also be a significant change for the 2021-2022 school year. Currently, every elementary school, with the exception of Ogden Elementary, exceeds the desired class size set out by the Board of Education in 2008, which was also supported by the Board prior to the bond issue as a target to improve student/teacher ratios. With the addition of another elementary school to feed into middle schools, our feeder system will also need to be addressed.

In January of 2020, the district hired RSP & Associates to provide an enrollment analysis This analysis will include population trends, demographics, enrollment data, and potential growth and development. Their study will focus on priorities set by the Board of Education and input from the community.
