On behalf of the Board of Education (BOE), I would like to welcome USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden students, families and staff to a new school year. The BOE hopes everyone is enjoying a fun filled and relaxing summer!! It seems like yesterday that we were saying congratulations and wishing our 2019 graduating class much success in their future endeavors. How quickly summer passes and our thoughts turn to the 2019-2020 school year. This is the time of year when we begin to feel the excitement of starting a new school and eagerly welcoming our students back and hearing about their summer. USD 383 will be welcoming kindergartners to the Class of 2032!!
The BOE is excited to be part of a team comprised of administrators, teachers, staff, parents and students who want to achieve great things this school year. Our faculty and staff have been working hard to ensure that your child’s learning experience this year will be successful and productive. Many members of our faculty have participated in professional development opportunities over the summer in preparation for the 2019-2020 school year. Our very talented faculty brings a diverse set of approaches to instruction in order to address a variety of student learning styles. Under the leadership of our Superintendent, Dr. Wade, I am sure that we will have an exciting year.
The BOE will be working to revise our strategic planning and goals to be reflective of current and innovative learning environments and objectives. We will continue to engage the community as we work to build upon the existing educational programs, improve and expand our facilities. That address each child’s social, emotional and academic needs.
I would encourage each of you to become involved this year and attend BOE meetings to provide input to the BOE members and administration. Your input is valuable to us as we begin to plan for our future through planning and expansion of our facilities.
The members of the BOE look forward to working with you as we start the 2019-2020 school year.
