Welcome to Anthony Middle School! Middle school is an exciting time with many changes. Emotional, physical, academic,and social changes will take place in your student's life these next two years.

One change will be instead of having one teacher, your child will now have 7 different teachers. They will also now take on the responsibility of remembering homework, getting to class on time and taking the proper materials to each class. To help your middle school student with these changes they will need some way to be organized. Some students use a trapper with different compartments for each class. Some prefer separate folders. One for each class. The most effective we have found is an expandable file. It is compact and will hold all the papers that the students will need for the day.

The school will issue students a daily planner. This can be a great source of communication for you and the teachers. Each teacher will post on the board the assignment for the day and/or week. The students are to write the assignments in their planner. Ask your child to see their planner to make sure they are using it. This is one way you will know what they covered that day in each class.

Another source for you is to check the USD383 website. Many teachers will post their lesson plans on this site.
