MHS Summer School Information

  • You will be able to pre-enroll at West Campus on May 28 from 6-8 p.m. At 7 p.m. there will be an informational meeting in the Little Theater. 

Flint Hills Summer Fun Camps

Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp (Elementary) provides an all day, structured, fun summer experience for students entering grades 1 – 6. The camp serves students on the autism-spectrum disorders and peer models. Campers are divided into age groups (approximately 12 students per group) under the supervision of a certified teacher and paraprofessionals. FHSFC helps students continue academic growth over the summer months, develop social skills, participate in activities in the arts and physical activities (including swim lessons), work on individual goals, and develop leadership skills.

The Elementary camp, located at Bluemont Elementary, is offered June and July and campers sign up for one or both months. Camp hours are: 8:30AM – 4:00PM.

• Three other camps serve Middle and High School students for six weeks (June 3 – July 12, 2019) in the afternoons

Social Adventures Camp for those in 7th -12th grades with Autism needing more support & Other Special Needs Students. This camp is designed to develop friendships and have fun with others using video, art and games. It meets at Bluemont Elementary from 12:00 – 2:30PM.

Magical Mystery Camp for those in Middle School with High Functioning Autism and Peer Models. In this camp students will explore the world around them through drama, film, art, science, and music. It meets at the High School East Campus in the Little Theatre from 12:00 – 300PM.

Creative Encounters Camp for those in High School with High Functioning Autism and Peer Models. In this camp students expand their creativity in the arts: writing , film, drama, visual art, and music. It meets at KSU Drama Room 117 on the west side of Memorial Stadium from 12:00 – 3:00 PM.
