Employees of our Manhattan Best Buy came out to talk with students  about internet safety and preparing for college. It was a very informative session. REAL Scholars also collaborated with Best Buy and the Manhattan Country Club to provide Technology classes, Fall 2009. "Thank you Best Buy for your monetary gift of  $2,000". Funds will be used to support a college visit.

On Aug. 8, 2009, Sonia Sotomayor was sworn in as the 111th justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Her appointment marks the first time a Hispanic American has served on the Court, as well as being only the third woman to occupy a seat.
