Gros Named Kansas Horizon Award Recipient
Taylor Gros, 3rd grade teacher at Bluemont Elementary School, was named one of thirty-two Kansas Horizon Award Winners!
"I am beyond grateful to receive such an award,” states Gros. “I have learned a great amount in my short time as a teacher. I have learned that constant reflection and awareness of my students’ needs are very important parts of my job. What I love about teaching is that even on the tough days, there is always some light! I am thankful that I get to do what I love every day. I want to thank my building principal, my grade level partner, my mentor, my parents and all of my colleagues for their endless guidance and support!”
Ms. Gros is now in her second year of teaching. She began her career with USD 383 in August of 2016. She has a BS in Elementary Education from Kansas State University.
