Stephen Koch Named Bergman Principal
Stephen Koch (pronounced Cook) has been named the principal of Frank V. Bergman Elementary School. He currently serves as the principal at Lincoln Elementary School in Lincoln, Kansas. He has served in that position since 2012. Prior to that, he was a teacher in Salina and Abilene. He has a B.S. in Business Administration & Psychology from Baker University in 1981, a Certification in Elementary Education from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1997, a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction from Kansas State University in 2006, and an Education Administration Licensure from Fort Hays State University in 2009.

Bergman Elementary School,” states Superintendent Dr. Marvin Wade. “Mr. Koch has an extensive record of success as an elementary principal and teacher, including transitioning from an elementary to a middle school grade configuration as a sixth grade teacher. I am impressed with how Mr. Koch promotes success within both a school setting and the broader community. I look forward to working with him as a leader within Manhattan-Ogden USD 383.”
Koch replaces Lori Martin. Martin is retiring this summer. Koch will begin his new position on July 22, 2019.
